With a university degree as technical translator for Russian and Spanish, Peter Haacke started his professional career at Ferrostaal AG. Shortly after that  he was seconded as commercial representative to the MAN AG representative office in Moscow. In 1994, he returned as deputy chief representative to take over the position as a project manager of the business unit  ” Industrial Projects”, responsible for the CIS countries with MAN Ferrostaal AG in Essen.

In the middle of 1999, he transferred to MAN Diesel AG as sales engineer to take over responsibility for Western and Eastern Europe, including the CIS, in the power plant business unit. Between 2007-2008  he was the representative in Moscow and established the local subsidiary.

After his return from Moscow, he accepted the position of Regional Sales Manager for Eastern Europe with MAN Ferrostaal AG. After a while he was also put in charge of the department for power train components. Under his supervision the department was successfully expanding the business of decentralised power supply with particular focus on renewable power sources.

Based on his long experience in Russia and with Russian companies he established H&T renewable power systems with his partner Yury Tyurkin in 2014.
